S/4HANA Enterprise Cloud Edition 1506 is delivered with predefined content for monitoring the performance of sell from stock processes (order type SO02).
The goal is to deliver a ready-to-run solution for process managers whose task it is to define and increase the efficiency of the company's order to cash execution.
The main questions that the delivered solution answers are:
- What are the average lead times of the process (such as order to delivery/goods issue, goods issue to billing)?
- How often are delivery or billing blocks set, and how long does it take to resolve these blocks?
- How often do critical field changes occur?
The process manager gets a list of tiles on his (or her) Fiori launchpad that displays average lead times (for the last 28 days) as well as 28-day totals or the process.
The process manager can not only personalize the tiles (for example removing, changing the order of, or grouping the tiles) but also save new personalized tiles by applying data filters and setting thresholds for the KPIs.
Clicking the tile allows you to drill down to the KPIs by different dimensions:
- Sales organization (default drilldown)
- Sales group
- Sold-to party
- Material (on item level only)
- Sales order list (or sales order item list)
By selecting the first drilldown the process manager can compare the performance of different sales organizations.
Clicking one bar allows you to filter by a selected sales organization you are interested and to drill down by other dimensions.
In the drilldown by sold-to part or by material, we also provide the aggregated net value of the orders as an indicator for the impact of the item.
Having filtered and drilled down to this point, you can display the list of filtered sales orders (or sales order items) as a sorted list, starting with the highest values.
From here you can navigate further into other applications - as it is configured in the tile's navigation - export the data or share the displayed results with a stakeholder, or a responsible internal sales representative or manager to take further action.
The next blog will discuss the architecture of process performance monitoring in S/4HANA.
